A research & Apprenticeship Program

Harmon Oaks invites alumni and all local friends (ages 6.5-10 years of age) to join Ms.Mariya for a 'STEMfull' Summer at HARMON OAKS NOHO WEST.

​Here’s what our Summer Stemist includes:

  • Project based curriculum that supports all developmental domains.
  • Integration of math, literacy and science through hands-on experiments & documentation.
  • Integration of technology with children for research & documentation. 
  • Daily integration of process art through science and print.
  • Board & strategy game social breaks that highlight STEM.
  • Art, engineering and outdoor play.
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL) as we work together to experiment, research, problem solve, create and learn together. 
  • Leadership through Apprenticeship: Specially designed to have our SUMMER STEMISTS use their findings to then create invitations, games, and experiments that would be presented and experienced with Harmon Oaks littles. Apprenticeship includes learning SEL Coaching strategies practiced with young children and with peers. This process includes training and learning about brain development. 
  • In Harmon Oaks fashion, — lots of messy fun! 
  • Access to ProCare App to that will allow our SUMMER STEMISTS to share their work with family.
