CoTeacher, Early Educator
Harmon Oaks Noho West- High Quality Early Enrichment Center where we are Reggio Inspired and STEM Curriculum Driven- playing, learning and growing with children 18 months - 5 years of age. Our center is in search of a Full-Time Co-Teacher to join our team of passionate and amazing edu'carers. This position is for the 2-3 year age group, Sprouts program. Our Sprouts program has a 1:7 ratio, where we have a formal potty learning program in place and place much emphasis on executive functions and self-direction growth.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate, caring, quick on their feet, energetic, and who loves the early enrichment and child development field. Duties:
- Reflect, research, plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum through Reggio's approach and our nursery school's philosophy with a team of colleagues
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for young children; create an enviroment that encourages self-direction, exploration and getting messy (be open to getting messy as well)
- Monitor and assess the development and progress of each child; create and share docuemntation of the child's progress
- Support young children with use of restroom; support children in potty learning journey
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe enviroment- both outdoors and indoors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; Min AA
- Previous experience working or student-teacher experience in an early educational setting or childcare center
- Knowledge of development principles; knowledge of inquiry based learning or reggio philosophy is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collabortion and maintaining a positive enviroment is a must
- Creativity and passion for the ECE field
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
Pay: From $21.00 per hour, DOE. Benefits include medical insurance + paid time off + vacation & sick pay
Rotational Associate Teacher

Our center is in search of a Part-Time Associate Teacher to join our team of passionate and amazing edu'carers. This position is a floating positions that support all programs and ages between 18 month through 5 years of age.
We arelooking for a candidate who is passionate, caring, quick on their feet, energetic, and who loves the early enrichment and child development field. Candidates must also like getting messy, engaging in play, gardening, and learning with children. At Harmon Oaks, our associate teachers are trained, mentored and supported to be intent'ful partners and pratagonists in play and learning. If you're passionate and interested in becoming an edu'carer and growing in the field of early enrichment, we encourage you to apply no matter at what stage in your career.
With that said, all applicants should have a minimum of 12 child development units, while continuing their education (more information regarding requirements below). Applicants should also have knowledge of different progressive and time-tested (Montessori, Reggio, RIE, etc.) approaches.
The Rotational Associate Teacher is expected to be able to assist and or lead in the following:
-Assisting in planning class curriculum
-Multitasking in both setting up and engaging with children during transitions
-Sparking conversations with children that are both meaningful and offer growth in language assisting children with potty time with preschoolers
-Managing classroom behavior according to school's philosophy and approach
-Engaging with and supervising children during self-directed play
-Supporting children in potty learning (with diaper changes)
-Completing routine responsibilities- setup and cleanup of stations, disinfecting classroom area, toys, preparing snack, etc.
-Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 30lbs, running/playing with children, kneeling, sitting on the floor, etc. Able to assist with changing diapers and potty learning.

Please make sure your schedule allows you to be available between the hours of 8:00am and 5pm. Should the candidates college course schedule limit their hours, email your availability- some flexibility is given to staff to allow teachers and associate teachers to further their education.
