Harmon Oaks holds two family 'outings' during the school year and asks that parents make the time and effort to join us. We'd like our parents to meet the families with whom their children spend more than eights hours of their day. Aside from merely spending time together, our children have formed very close bonds and truly beautiful friendships. Let's celebrate their friendships and grow closer as a school family.
In the past, we've held the Spring Has Sprung Picnic at the Underwood Family Farms, as well as various local parks. We typically present a silent art auction and release butterflies. This year, we'll be holding these traditions during class visits instead. We'll also have our annual spring picnic at a new location, the zoo!
For those of you wondering what we will be doing at the zoo, the answer is quite simple- we'll be spending time together whilst experiencing the zoo, which also 'happens' to be May's inquiry unit! It's a very informal event. We'll be passing out tickets to the zoo (purchased by Harmon Oaks) the day prior, and we'll also inform families of where and when each of our cohorts and teachers plans to meet. Our teachers will be there with their families, so it's truly meant to be a large group 'playdate'... a nursery school playdate!
